Century Run 2015

Another big South African regional event in the classic bike club world, and one where all the various Cape Town bike clubs come together to give some of their older bikes a good run too … The century run is all about pairing the oldest bikes with the oldest riders on a ride out in Cape Town. There were about 50 classic bikes taking part of varying ages – a few false starts and hefty roadside kicks were required during the course of the run, but everyone arrived safely at the end for a shot prize giving ceremony. We saw some unique machines – I’ve never seen a Scott before, there was even an original City of Cape Town police Harley Davidson, a smattering of museum piece Indians and a Douglas.

The Cape Town weather was great, there was cold beer and braaivleis at the finish line – what more could anyone need?
